U.S. News & World Report evaluates business schools based on a variety of metrics, including peer assessment, recruiter assessment, placement success, and student selectivity. This multifaceted approach ensures that the rankings provide a well-rounded perspective on the quality of each MBA program. The recent rankings reveal interesting shifts, placing an emphasis on employment outcomes as a higher priority in the ranking methodology.

Analysis of Top 5 Business Schools

The latest rankings highlight five standout business schools that have consistently demonstrated excellence in education, faculty, and student outcomes. Aside from Wharton and GSB, Booth and Kellogg tied at number three (3), followed by MIT Sloan which dropped by one (1) point to number five (5).

Rising Stars in the MBA World

Several business schools have rapidly climbed the rankings thanks to innovative program offerings, including enhanced career services, and as a result career outcomes. Yale SOM has jumped one (1) point, while NYU Stern and Berkeley Haas have jumped three (3) and four (4) points, respectively, all three (3) tying at number seven (7) in the 2-24 Full-Time MBA U.S. News & World Repor. While rankings are important in demonstrating important trends in the business school community, at Sia Admissions, we encourage applicants to choose schools that align with their values and support their goals. Any rank should only be used as a single data point in the business school selection criteria process.
