Continuing on our last three post (which can be read here, here, and here), the MBA program that offers premier opportunities for students interested in sustainable energy as it relates to environmental protection is Michigan Ross School of Business.
As in the previous posts, the article includes links for further research on the topics addressed.
For those interested in environmental protection, Ross’ MBA with a concentration in Business and Sustainability (BaS) may be the right program. The plethora of courses on the topic, offered both within Ross Business School and other divisions within Michigan University, help MBA students gain a deeper understanding of the sustainable energy sector.
Ross’ curriculum includes a highly emphasized and required Multidisciplinary Action Project (MAP) that focuses on bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world practice. To prepare leaders to solve real-world problems, MBA BaS students have the opportunity to work with an organization that focuses on sustainability and helps them solve a real business problem.
MBA students have an array of opportunities to engage in the community and expand their learning. During “Professional Development Week,” MBA students interested in a career in energy meet with potential employers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Second-year Ross MBA student-coaches organize Functional Accountability Career Teams (FACT) Groups, which are small, career-focused groups that meet weekly to prepare students for internship recruiting. The Energy Club is the leading organizer of the multi-school annual “Renewable Energy Conference Competition.” They also organize the Energy Conference, help with Consulting projects, Lunch & Learns and Coffee Chats, and other career treks.
Considering Michigan Ross? We, at Sia Admissions, are here to help you make the b-school selection and coach you to craft your story through the lens your target school is interested in seeing. We would love to learn about your goals and discuss how we could help you reach them faster. Please reach out to set up a complimentary exploratory call.
